Clinicare superficial peels use a mixture of Glycolic, Saliicylic and Lactic acids to remove the upper layer of the epidermis encouraging rejuvenation and regeneration of new skin cells, the result is improved appearance of skin with fewer lines, improved texture and tone, a brighter and more youthful complexion. As we get older our skin processes naturally begins to slow down, skin cell turn over slows as does collagen production and elastin begins break down resulting in the start of fine lines and wrinkles, relaxing of skin features and texture can be effected as well as the tone of the skin becoming dull. Chemical skin peels help to remove dead skin cells from the surface of the epidermis (skin) revealing fresh new skin cells underneath and stimulating more skin cell turnover along with helping the production of collagen.

Fine line and wrinkles - Peels are used to exfoliate dead skin from the surface to reduce fine lines and wrinkles, giving you a more youthful appearance.
Acne - Chemical peels are used to remove dead skin cells and help to unblock pores and hair follicles where excess oils would usually be trapped. the peels helps to reduce the appearance of acne scarring and improves the overall texture of the skin.
Hyperpigmentation- This treatment works to even out the skins tone and lighten pigmentation.
Melasma- These are dark patches that appear on the skin and are commonly caused by hormonal treatments, skin peels help to lighten the melasma and even out the skins tone.
Dark spots/Age spots/Large freckles (Lentigines) - Skin peel treatments help to lighten Lentigines and even out skin tone.
Rough skin - The skins texture can be dramatically improved with skin peel treatments, giving you a smoother, fresher appearance.
What to expect during and after your treatment
Following your consultation, once you are happy and comfortable, your skin will be cleansed and prepared for the application of the skin peel, this is left on the skin between 2-7 mins depending on the skin issues being treated, the peel is neutralised before applying your sheet mask. Whilst this takes effect you will enjoy a complimentary head massage to ease away tension. Your treatment ends with an application of sun cream
It is important that you follow all of your aftercare advise from the therapist, this will be discussed with you after your treatment and sent to you by email for you to read when ever needed and your therapist will be on hand if you have any questions post treatment.
